All Star Event Weekend.

Welcome race fans to the Georgia Dome site of this weekend event as Pro Truck Challenge National Championship Series presented by Monster Truck Collectors.com is now halfway throught the season and this means it is All Star Event weekend and today all 48 trucks will run in the Georgia Dome as we have the Last Chance race where one team will transfer to the All Star Event and of course the All Star Event tonight. But tonight is not only about racing, but about healing as well. Yesterday was a hard day as everybody in the monster truck community learned the news that Steve Wilke passed away. Tonight most of the teams would rather be at home with their family and friends rather then race. But this event of course is part of the healing process. Time heals and tonight event is dedicated to Steve Wilke and his family. There was a moment of silence in the Georgia Dome to start off the pre-event activites and there will be another one before the All Star Event. 
Looking at the track layout you can see for the Last Chance race it is a basic Chicago style event one lap from the start line and the finish at the center of the cars. Speed and making the turns good will be a big key to winning. Now the format of the Last Chance event. 29 trucks are in so the first 16 trucks in the points that have no wins will face off in a normal 16 team layout with 16, then 8, and 4. Then when there are four trucks left the two lowest in time trial will face off. The top two and the winner of the third place truck race will go on to face the remaning 13 trucks. The three will fill the 14th, 15th, and 16 spot in the first round and then when it's all said and done the winner will advance to the All Star Event. Now lets go racing. Last Chance Race A, Round 1. Georgia Dome.Mini Bling pole winner for the first group of 16 defeats Fire Fighter. High Anxiety defeats Liberty Girl. It is amazing to think Kyle hadn't won an event since his first win last season before the All Star Event. Monster Mayhem sporting the vintage van colors takes a win against Old Timer. 
The Monster Blog.com truck defeats Skull Crusher. Hitman defeats Loaded Dice. Bloodlust Tank defeats Nitemare. Bloodlust Tank has a special paint scheme and hopeful to enter the All Star Event. 
Blitz defeats Barracuda which has the pink Breast Cancer Awarness truck. The truck will return next weekend with the same paint scheme. Copperhead Slinger defeats Heatwave. Well the first round of the Last Chance event is done, it is about 1 PM here at Atlanta, we caculate the end of this event by 3:00 and come 7:00PM will be the All Star Event. All Star Event lot of trucks have special paint scheme and surprises for the fans. Some here in fact do as well hoping to make it in to the All Star Event. So lot of racing today now lets go to round 2 of the first group of 16. But first triva question of the night. Matchbox Superchargers, can you name all the trucks they made? Last Chance Race A, Round 2. Georgia Dome.Mini Bling advances to the final four beating Kyle in High Anxiety. Mini Bling being the the pole winner will be locked in to the top three and will move on to Last Chance Race B and will be 14th in the field. Monster Mayhem advanes to the final four after defeating The Monster Blog.com truck. Monster Mayhem was 4th in time trials and if Bloodlust Tank and Copperhead Slinger advance to the final four then he will be locked in to Last Chance Race B. Hitman defeats Bloodlust Tank, meaning Mayhem will have to race against Blitz or Copperhead and winner will go to Last Chance Race B. Hitman is locked into the second Last Chance Event. Blitz defeats Copperhead Slinger. Blitz and Monster Mayhem will face each other for the third place truck to see who will advance along with Mini Bling and Hitman to Last Chance Race B. Now to join Mini Bling and Hitman in Last Chance Race B is Blitz. Blitz defeated Monster Mayhem and will be the 16th truck in event B. Mini Bling being pole and highest finisher took 14th and Hitman is 15th. The other 13 trucks are fresh and ready to race. These three just finish racing an 16 truck event. But they have a small advantage of knowing the track conditions more recently then the 13 coming up. So there is a break between the now and Last Chance Race B but we will be back for the results of Last Chance Event B and later tonight All Star Event! Last Chance Race B, Round 1. Georgia Dome.Welcome back the second Last Chance Event is about to get kicked off. 16 trucks, winner goes to the All Star Event later tonight. Rat Patrol defeats Blitz and ends Blitz hope to be in the All Star Event. This is the first time Blitz will not be in the All Star Event since he joined PTC. GM Performance Parts defeats Electric Death. Electric Death has a special paint scheme for the All Star Event. 
Hammerfall defeats Bullet Proof. Both trucks have special paint schemes for tonight and Hammerfall advances a step closer to the All Star Race. 
Sonic defeats American Guardian and advances on to round two. Hitman defeats Sarge. Sarge has a new body on the truck for tonight event. 
Taurus defeats Twisted Obsession. Mini Bling defeats Dirt and moves on to round 2. 
TNT defeats Thunder Beast. The second round for this event will feature Rat Patrol against Hammerfall, GM Performance against Sonic, Hitman against Taurus, and Mini bling against TNT. Last Chance Race B, Round 2. Georgia Dome.Rat Patrol advances on to the final four after defeating Hammer Fall. GM Performance Parts defeats Sonic. Hitman defeats Taurus. Mini Bling defeats TNT and will face Hitman in the final four. The last two from Last Chance Race A will face each other. Well now outside the Georgia Dome all the trucks in tonight All Star Race are putting the final touches, last second changes, and soon the drivers meeting will take place for them and the one truck that will win this Last Chance Event. Ton of racing and special events tonight in the All Star Race. Last Chance Race B, Final Four. Georgia Dome.Rat Patrol advances to the final round after defeating GM Performance Parts. Mini Bling defeats Hitman and will advance on to face Rat Patrol winner goes to the All Star Event tonight. Last Chance Race B, Final Round. Georgia Dome.Winner, a trip to tonight All Star Event. Rat Patrol against Mini Bling which has done almost two complete events in one day. With the first group of 16 and now this group he can be in his third event of the day. But Rat Patrol the popular machine is looking to be in his first All Star Event and is more fresh and putting down fast times green! Both trucks are off they are over the cars now the turn this is going to be critical. Mini bling a bit of a lead as both trucks come off the turn and towards the car Mini Bling leads now they are last few turns can Mad Rat make up ground here they are in the turn Mini bling on it Mini Bling not giving up Mini Bling is going to cross the line and advance to the All Star Race! Mini Bling is going to do what Only Russ Ivy did and be the second driver from the last chance race to win the All Star Event. Mini Bling parts in front of the crowd and most of the crowd here is heading to the pit party outside. Now is a break but up next the All Star Race 20 trucks ready to race. PTC All Star Event. Georgia Dome Atlanta, Georgia.
Good evening and welcome to a sold out Georgia Dome and site of tonight Pro Truck Challenge All Star Event. The All Star Event is the only event on the National Championship Series presented by Monster Truck Collectors.com to not award points. The All Star Event is a big test on skills, the trucks, and teams and tonight lot of fans will enjoy the event tonight and go home happy. A record 20 trucks will be in tonight All Star Event. All of them have won an event since the last All Star Event and if not then they have a PTC Championship or in the case of Mini Bling won the transfer event. Tonight promises to be a night we won't forget. However, this weekend has brought news we won't forget as well. All the teams know of the lost of Steve Wilke and before we start the All Star Event a moment of silence in memory of Steve Wilke. 
Steve Wilke will be missed by so many fans and members of the monster truck community. Many that have met Steve have wonderful story about how nice of a guy he was and how much joy he brought to the fans. Stories of Steve helping compedators he raced against and assuring fans get a great race. Tonight event is dedicated to Steve and his family and tonight the teams will race against each other, help out each other, and bring a smile to the fans in attendance and those watching on television or listen on radio. That is what Steve would have wanted us to do and we will. All Star Event, Round 1. Georgia Dome.The first round of the PTC All Star Event will use the same layout as the Last Chance Race. However from round two and beyond different track layouts will be used. Remember there is no time trials and four trucks will be lucky and advance to round two while the other 16 race each other. So now time to see who drew number one and number to to get the night started. The first pair will be High Tech Redneck and he will face Emaxx. 
High Tech sporting a tribute to Steve. Shawn owner of Team Pman wanted to do something special and he has done so with this truck. Shawn in an interview yesterday remember when Steve allowed him to sit behind the wheel of the second USA-1 truck and how it was a great experience. He faces Emaxx whom is sporting old colors. Green is out the two are off they look even over the cars now the turn this is where the diffrence has been all night Emaxx good turns he comes out with a small lead over Bowers now back in the final turns Emaxx not letting up and holding back nothing and Emaxx will advance to round two of the All Star Event. Bowers crosses the finish line and now turns towards the exit but the fans are now standing and cheering him for the effort he gave and the colors he is running tonight. 
Liberty One against Cold Fusion. The two raced hard against each other and Liberty One went away with the win. Normally Liberty One would know who he would face in the next round but the drivers know the next round is luck of the draw. 
Insanity taking on the new Off The Wall. Green is out both trucks are off evenly these two have faced each other in all three look out! Off The Wall rolls in the turn! Off The Wall rolls over and both trucks stop now. As I was mentioning these two are starting to have a bit of a rivalry on track because they faced eached other in the final round of Championship Showdown II and the first round of PTC Open where Ryan Roberts rolled against Insanity and again he rolls while facing Insanity this time two and a half seasons later. Insanity will move on. 
Natural High driver Patrick Carroll driving a new truck. Riding High a new truck part of the Carroll Stable and it has been popular since it was first seen in the press conference earlyer in the week and lot of fans getting pictures of it at the pit party and now. He face Pman-7 Jordon Robson and Pman-7 rumors that Pman going to have a press conference about the team. Lot of people expect Jordon to win soon with the truck green! Both trucks are off and both of them jump and clear the cars now they are in the turns and coming out still even they jump the cars again final turns this can determine who wins and who lose here they come this is going to be close at the line! Wow we cant tell who won but the computer is scoring Pman-7 the winner and Pman-7 is moving on. This so far is the close race of the day. 
Blue Thunder against Matt Grossman in Takin Chances. Matt broke a winless streak that lasted since season II. Now he wants another win green! Both are off they are even two great trucks both of them Ford vs Chevy the rivalry they are now coming out of the turn Grossman first over the cars but can he keep it the turns have determine most races today and Matt looks good and so to does Jessup but its nothing he can do cause Matt Grossman advances to round two. 
Gave Digger against Krypt Keeper the trucks with bones and skulls painted on face each other for the first time. Green is out both of them are off Digger great jump takes a small lead and he is flying through the turns Keeper going to have to really step it up if he wants to contend now Digger second set of cars and he is over them now Keeper gettting to the cars now Grave Digger he is coming around and he is going to jump the cars and move on to the next round of racing. 
Son of Sam against Radio Active green is out both trucks great start for Radio Active he puts Son of Sam on defense and having to gain ground on him. Now coming out of the turns Radio Active up and over Son of Sam no luck seems he has nothing for Radio Active and Son of Sam is going home and Radio Active is going to round two. 
The Outlaw taking on Mini Bling. Mini Bling now has the All Star Decal on his truck and has almost done two full PTC events today. Green is out Mini Bling and Outlaw this is going to be a good one as Mini Bling small lead enter the turn but here comes Outlaw using the rear steer great and he pulls it even as they jump over the car almost at the same time the final turn again The Outlaw pulling away some here he comes to the cars Mini Bling steps on it but nothing he can do The Outlaw wins and moves on and Mini Bling long day comes to an end but the fans give him a great send off standing and cheering what he did earlyer today and what a great effort by the team. That is the end of round one. So that means Colby #28 Orange Dodge, Bloodlust, Super Trooper, and Red Foot III all drew the by runs. So we are ready for round two but this time its the mud pit event! 
The trucks will start and race to the mud pit. The trucks will be cover in mud and then once out of the mud pit and pass the two orange cones make a u turn and drag race towards the center and green flag. Driver skills is very important the mud event will almost surely determine who wins and moves on. All Star Event, Round 2. Georgia Dome.The drawing for this round is Colby #28 the Orange Dodge against Bloodlust! The two teams are off track buddies and in the pits but this is one long rivalry between the two and the drawing paired them up. Both of them lining up before the start green! Both of them enter the mud and both of them getting mud all over the fans going crazy as both trucks get cover in mud! 
Now both trucks out of the mud here they come to the turn now the turn drag race to the line and Bloodlust wins a close one! Bloodlust just had the power to pull ahead a little cause they were about even exiting the turn and both drivers are veterans and both showed it no problems for either one in the mud pit. Next up is Liberty One and he faces Emaxx and after this it will be Pman-7 against The Outlaw. Green is out both trucks dive in the mud and Liberty One has a bit of a lead so far in the pit but Emaxx not far behind and hopeful to gain grown. Now both of them are on the turns Liberty One and Emaxx making the turn both of them towards the line this is gonig to be close and Emaxx! Emaxx last second surge got Liberty One at the line. Now its Pman-7 against The Outlaw. Both trucks clean and but soon mud will cover em green is out both trucks are off and in the mud pit and Outlaw loses a lot of speed in the pit Pman-7 Jordon still going and is just making it through the pit and is out now Outlaw half way through and Pman-7 crosses the line and will advance to the next round. 
Super Trooper defeats Takin Chances and move on. Grave Digger defeats Red Foot III but some smoke from the engine. Radio Active defeats Insanity and the round of six is next. Now for the round of 6. It is a jump contest. This time it's not about how far...but how high. Three cars are being put in the center of the dome floor and one at a time each truck will go up to the set and hit the first car and do a wheel stand. PTC officials will be using video tape to scale each jump and since there are six trucks after all six have done their jump. PTC official will position them 1-6 in hight. The top four advances to the final four. The bottom two are done for the night. Now here comes the first truck. The first truck up is Emaxx and he comes up to the cars with a steady amount of speed hits the car and does a pretty good jump got the front of the truck high in the air but too much forward progress now he makes a turn to come back and hit the cars again and before each truck goes the cars on the end will be replaced so each truck has a good chance to make a good jump. Here comes Emaxx a bit slower he is going to gas it when he hits the cars and up he goes and good distance lands on the back wheels slap wheelie the front down and Emaxx complete his run. 
Next up is Bloodlust and he comes very slowly and he sky high up and a great jump Bloodlust wow, that probably got him the lead. He is going to come around for jump number two for the fans he comes lot faster and gets good air but his first jump got the front end really high. Well here come Jordon Robson his teammate coming with steady speed a bit faster then Emaxx and he's up and hard landing back on the cars. Jordon got good air when he front wheels hit the car and went up he slammed the gas got good air don't know if it beats Bloodlust but lands on very hard on the front wheel. Now here he comes much slower to the front car he is straight up look out and stright down on and rolls it backward! Jordon gets out of Pman-7 but a weird roll over. Similar to the first roll over...slow front wheel straight up he mashes the gas and when he does instead its like the momentum of the front was too much and he just rolled backward. Truck lot of damage but Jordon is ok.
Super Trooper now comes out the special body on his truck eveyone here is a fan of and he hits the cars great air he clearly takes the lead and the crowd goes wild here. what a jump by Super Trooper and now he makes his second jump and Chad gave the crowd something to cheer and he stops the truck salute the crowd and what a job by the co-point leader. Grave Digger now rolls out problem for him though we herd from the pits but he doesn't have to push it and should be ok in the next round if need and great jump by Digger he loses his skull flag cause he landed the back on the cars and lucky the kill switch in the back didn't get pulled. Now his second jump better then the first and we will see where the offials place him. Finally Radio Active comes the truck good jump now the second jump to come. This jump should be good last one good speed up and back on down great job and now we await word to see who were the top four. We can clearly say Pman-7 won't be advancing to the next round due to damage on his truck and can clearly say Chad in Super Trooper had the best jump will be advancing. Now here are the results and first place will be Super Trooper. He will take on fourth place Bloodlust and second place Radio Active will take on Grave Digger. So Emaxx has been eliminated. The next round is the obsticle course round. One at a time when the light turn green they will go throught the mud pit then once out of the pit make the right turn on to the Chicago style track, over the cars then once over the cars a u turn to the second mud pit, out of the pit go across the dome floor on the white lane and then over the set of cars and once they clear the cars the clock will stop 
First up is Radio Active green is out and he is in the mud going through the mud is very hard for these vehicles and test the drivers cause this mud is think and now he is out on to the Chicago course he runs towards the set of cars and he clears them now he makes the u-turn and is again going through the mud pit bogs down a little but he is now out and now is going across the floor dome pedal all the way down and now the final turn here he comes to the car and his time is 2:37. Grave Digger is now next. How ready is the truck green is out he is off through the pit now he is looking good so far the time to beat is 2:37 and he is not under the time so far as he clears the cars now making the u-turn to go throught the pit he is now in the mud and keeping his speed pretty good coming out of the pit he is now under Radio Active time he roars across the dome floor to the final turn now the cars this is going to be close...2:35! Next up is Super Trooper green he is off through the mud! 
Through the mud now he makes way for the set of cars the Super Trooper chevy clears the cars and now re-enters the mud pit he is bout .01 behind the leader now he makes the u-turns steps on the gas the front wheels comes up he wheelies across the dome floor! He has to slam on the brakes hard slap the front end down and now making the turn he lost lots of speed and his time 2:39 so Super Trooper is not going to the final. The wheelie the fans loved but it costed him when he hit the brakes to get the front end down but the fans enjoyed what he did. Next up is bloodlust and Bloodlust removed the USA-1 flag doesn't want to get the tribute flag cover with mud green is out! Blodlust in the mud he is setting a quick pace so far and now out of the mud heading towards the cars he has the fastest time so far over the cars and then the mud pit. Now he is back in the mud and the setup he has is good no slowing down any. Now across the dome floor he has the fastest time he makes the turn ok it will be him and Digger in the final and here he come 2:29 the fastest! Bloodlust against Grave Digger in the finals. Now some announcements before the final round. The answer for the triva question was what trucks were part of the Matchbox Super Chargers? The answer is Bigfoot, USA-1, Rollin Thunder, Flyin' High, Awesome Kong II, Mad Dog II, So High, Tow Truck, Super Pete, Doc Crusher, 57, Hawk, and Taurus. Fans this is your last weekend to get the t-shirt of the month. Colby Orange Dodge is on a t-shirt and next weekend an new shirt will be out. 
This weekend Pro Truck News will have the Point leader interview. Since season one the leader of the points halfway through the season is interview. Only twice has the interviewed person went on to win the Chandler Cup and for the second time Chad LeGeyt and for the first time Russ Ivy will be interview because for the first time a tie for the point lead. So check PTNews on Wednesday. Finally the PTC trading card and this week it goes to Super Trooper winner of last weekend event in Las Vegas. 
All Star Event, Final Round. Georgia Dome.
The day started Early and now its the final round here it is near 9:00PM and the fans have enjoyed this event and now we are ready for the last two. Bloodlust against Digger. Bloodlust and Digger both cover in mud and both of them looking to win and listen to this. Bloodlust can earn career win number six and be one behind Ryan Roberts, Russ Ivy, Jordon Robson, and Mario Cernadas. But Mario can break the tie and be the All Time PTC Win leader with a win green! The two muddies trucks are in the pits this is the a combination of mudpit then Chicago style both of them out of the mud and both entering the Chicago style course teh fans standing and cheering the two and they now make it towards the cars over the cars both of them even now the turns both of them have been good all the time in the turns and its Mario coming out of the turn first he is ahead but not by much here comes Shawn he is going to do everything he can the turn Shawn closing up in the turn now out of the turn here they come over the cars it will be Mario winning! Mario has won his eight career event! Mario's Grave Digger smoke coming out of the back but he wins it here. He drives to the center of the dome and there to is Shawn and now both drivers are out Shawn getting his USA-1 flag and Mario is with him and the two of them hold up the USA-1 and the fans are standing and cheering the two drivers. These two just raced their heart out for the win and they stand together as friends and part of the monster truck community. A great night of racing here in the fourth All Star Event.
